The Mountain Basement

The Mountain Basement took a raw, unfinished 1940s lower level and transformed it into a refined extension of the home above. The design centered on creating distinct zones — a custom wine cellar, a living area anchored by a gas fireplace, and built-in cabinetry that provides both storage and visual weight. Warm modern finishes were selected to bring comfort and character to a space that had been overlooked for decades, making the basement feel intentional rather than an afterthought.
